The Waterside Hotel

I am delighted to be a recommended supplier for the The Waterside Hotel. As a Waterside Hotel photographer I make no secret to it being one of my favourite venues to work in.

The Waterside Hotel Ayrshire is a popular wedding venue located in West Kilbride, Ayrshire, Scotland. This venue is situated on the banks of the River Clyde and offers stunning views of the water and surrounding countryside. Its only a few miles away from Largs, the popular Ayrshire seaside town.

The hotel offers several different wedding packages to suit a variety of budgets and preferences. These packages typically include a dedicated wedding coordinator, the use of the hotel’s function rooms for the wedding ceremony and reception, a wedding breakfast or dinner, and overnight accommodations for the wedding couple and their guests.

The Waterside Hotel Ayrshire has different function rooms that can be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

In addition to its beautiful location and range of function rooms, the Waterside Hotel Ayrshire is also known for its excellent food and drink offerings. The hotel’s chefs use locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to create delicious menus for wedding breakfasts, dinners, and buffets.

As a Waterside Hotel wedding photographer I love it due to the fact that whatever the weather I can capture great photos as the venue is light and airy.

Overall, the Waterside Hotel Ayrshire is a fantastic choice for couples looking for a stunning wedding venue in Ayrshire, Scotland and you will be guaranteed great wedding photos!

The most romantic setting for your wedding day may be found in the magnificent Kyle Suite, which features floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open out to the private gardens and a boardwalk that leads to the ocean, this is perfect place for your wedding photographs. The Kyle Suite offers various wedding ceremony setting options from smaller, intimate weddings to larger, extravagant weddings and events for up to 260 guests.   Although the Waterside is generally not thought of an exclusive use hotel when you get married here that is how it feels as its very separate from restaurant and other hotel guests throughout the day having your own garden for your wedding photos.

Take your wedding vows in the majestic Ailsa Lounge in front of friends and family in front of the lovely feature fireplace. At The Waterside Hotel, panoramic views and ideal photo opportunities in opulent settings are ensured. Outdoor ceremonies can also be planned in the grounds, weather allowing. I have even photographed winter weddings outside which in Scotland is amazing!

Is it suitable for children?

If you are having children at your wedding you will love the Waterside Hotel. I feel the garden which is enclosed with the private gate to the beach is just brilliant for the children. The children always seem to have a great time on the wedding day.

Waterside History

The hotel has a rich history that dates back to the early 19th century when it was originally built as a private residence. In the early 20th century, the building was converted into a hotel and has since undergone several renovations and expansions.

During World War II, the hotel was requisitioned by the government and used as a military hospital. After the war, it was returned to its former use as a hotel.

In 2011, the hotel underwent a major refurbishment, transforming it into a luxurious four-star hotel with 23 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a bar, restaurant, and function rooms.

Today, the Waterside Hotel is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, with its stunning location, luxurious amenities, and warm hospitality.
