Rowallan Castle is a 13th-century castle in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The castle was originally built by the Mure family, and it is said to be the birthplace of Elizabeth Mure, the mother of Robert II of Scotland. The castle has been owned by a number of different families over the years, including the Boyles, the Campbells, and the Corbetts. In the early 20th century, the castle was partially restored by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer. Today, Rowallan Castle is a private residence, and it is not open to the public.

The original castle at Rowallan was built in the 13th century, and it was probably a simple tower house. The castle was extended in the 16th century, and it was at this time that the two drum towers were added. The castle was further extended in the 17th century, and it was at this time that the courtyard and gateway were added.

In the early 20th century, the castle was partially restored by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer. Lorimer added a new house to the north-west of the castle, and he also restored the medieval castle. The castle is now a private residence, and it is not open to the public.
