As you all know I love working in my new studio but I really love getting outdoors with my camera. In this country it can be a hit or a miss when I book outdoor shoots. Luckily last week we had it dry for a lovely shoot down at the Kay Park. I have been trying some different locations this year as my favourite park is a bit of a mess just now, and to be honest I don
On Sunday I had the pleasure to photograph Harlow again. I did her newborn photos last year, when I still did normal newborn shoots. She would not sleep much during her newborn session but was a wee star during her birthday shoot.
Mum wanted something different for her birthday shoot and saw some outdoor ideas on Pinterest. I suggested Eglington Park and that was us set. Only thing to worry about was the weather. Harlows poor mum stressed as because we live in bonnie Scotland we can never go with the forecast
I have been talking about building my own studio for a few years as shooting in my livingroom has not been ideal. Finally I got the courage to make the jump and build it. The guys did a great job and I am really happy to finally have my own space. I have not used it properly yet, although I have used it today sitting out editing. From now on I will be doing all my shoots and wedding meetings in it. I still have a bit of the nerves hoping that I have made the right decision building it but I am sure I would be able to find other uses for it.
It seems like an eternity since I was on holiday since I came back in May I have been mostly non stop at the weekends with shoots. Although summer exactly wasn't the weather we had hoped for I was quite lucky with my outdoor shoots. I have to be honest and say that they are becoming my favourite kind of shoot.
I shoot at the weekend (usually a Sunday), some evenings and work full time as childminder during the week. My nights are spent sitting on my laptop editing, and doing the paperwork after my son goes to bed (sometimes before hand). So much so at the moment I feel like I don't have much of life. But to be honest I probably only sat on the couch and played candy crush before!
I've got a busy October ahead and bookings into November with Garry's and Kirsty's wedding at the Waterside. I'm excited!! I am also fully booked for the Xmas mini sessions and my props have arrived, I'm thinking if people are still wanting booked in that I might do November 20th as well, Any takers?
After much thought I have decided to start doing weddings. I'm very grateful for Julie and Craig who trusted me enough to do theirs. I had such a good day and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
Feedback was very positive and Julie loved her images. I have three weddings booked in so far first ones not until 2017, but I'm very excited about it.
I went to Center parcs with my friend and her daughter. I remembered to take my camera, although we were busy out and about on our bike, swimming and a few activities I still managed to capture a few images with my camera instead of my phone.
Ordered some prints and they came today and quite chuffed with them. There is something to be said with prints rather than just files left in your laptop or phone.
